IKEA “AS IS”

My daughter and I took a trip to IKEA and as usuaI we head over to the “As Is” section first. You will always find some awesome deals because most things there are not all returns but from the show room too.  I found what I thought was remnant fabric and it turned out to be this twin duvet. The colors were the colors of my daughters room so once I saw the $7.00 price tag we could not pass them up.

The bright and pretty colors coordinate perfect with the rooms color scheme.

The flower print is colorful and bright just as we envision the room to be we also found the pillow insert too and snagged that also for $2.00!

Ok so once we got home I cut the duvet into two panels to make her window curtains.

My plan is to sew them and put these up asap:) you can also use no sew tape and iron the seams too.  My daughter loves how cheerful the print is and honestly so do I and you cant beat $7.00 for a pair of curtains anywhere. Originally I wanted to make her curtains from a Calico Corners print that I fell in love with but fate had different plans:)

Here is a shot of one of the panels up just to give you a visual and because they are on the thin side I will be adding blinds to her room asap too.

Don’t you just love a great deal? Here you can see the pillow insert on her bed.

Have you scored any great deals lately? I would love to hear about it:)
